Where to Stay in Courchevel 1850: My Favorite Hotel for a Cozy, Luxury Ski Trip

courchevel france

If you’re planning a ski trip to the French Alps and have Courchevel on your radar—this is your sign to book it. Courchevel 1850 is the highest and most luxurious village in the Courchevel region, and it totally lived up to the hype.

I recently stayed at Les Sherpas Hotel in Courchevel 1850, and it was everything I wanted in a winter getaway: cozy, elevated, and equiped with all the amenities.

Best Hotel in Courchevel 1850 for a Chill, Luxe Vibe

There are a lot of luxury ski hotels in Courchevel, but what I loved about @lessherpascourchevel was that it felt relaxed and welcoming—without sacrificing anything when it came to comfort or service.

Here’s what made our stay stand out:

Ski Shuttle Service
Les Sherpas offers a private shuttle that takes you right to the ski lifts or into town. It was super convenient and saved us from lugging gear in the snow.

On-Site Ski Shop
They have their own ski rental shop inside the hotel, so we were able to get everything we needed (and last-minute gloves) without leaving the building.

24/7 Room Service
Late-night snacks are a must for me, especially when adjusting to the time change.

Spa + Indoor Pool
After a long day on the mountain, nothing hit better than the hammam, sauna, and heated pool for a reset.

Incredible On-Site Restaurant
We had dinner there most nights and genuinely looked forward to it. Cozy dining room, great wine list, and amazing food. Their breakfast was noteworthy as well, with an incredible view from the windows during all mealtimes.

Is Courchevel Worth Visiting?

Yes, especially if you’re into skiing, mountain views, and that French Alps chalet energy. It’s definitely on the luxury side compared to other ski resorts in France, but the experience is unforgettable. You’ll find top-tier slopes, fine dining, and some of the best ski hotels in Europe all in one place.

Tips for Visiting Courchevel in Winter

– Book early—Courchevel gets fully booked months in advance, especially around the holidays
– Bring layers (and then more layers)
– If you’re not skiing, there’s still tons to do: spa days, sledding, boutique shopping, bowling and amazing food everywhere
Staying in Courchevel 1850 gives you the most direct access to the lifts and views
